FDI in simpler words is a source of investment by foreign investors which helps boost up the Indian market and Economy If the money coming from in the form of FDI if at all manages to escape corruption and red tapism can benefit our country.But India is a land of widest economic diversity.The economic policies and decisions have to be taken in a manner beneficial to the business groups like Tatas, Ambanis and at the same time bringing some improvement in the life of a socially and economically deprived population of the country which sadly never happens.
Coming back to the Title of this page,the question I posed is about the people sitting in parliament in India.The idea of FDI investment in retail has been brought up last week in parliament by the congress Goverment. Instead of healthy discussions the opposition has been indulging in walk outs and disruptions whereas the Congress is using the current economic slowdown as an excuse to allow Foreign retailers to enter in India.
Recently J&K CM Omar Abdullah said The Members of Parliament must be paid based upon a certain minimum hours say 1/3 rd of the usual day but instead everyday the speaker is forced to adjourn the house in a few minutes.Questions such as fate of unorganized retail sector,competition to the existing organized retailers like future group,reliance etc,employment to the poor,benefit to consumers are hardly being discussed.It isnt that we have less educated or ignorant M.Ps but somehow everyone seems to be going with the flow.
Thankfully, not many Indians have the same thought process as the parliamentarians.Due to them India chal Raha hai par ane wale time ki koi Guarantee nahi hai !!!!!!
